The junior stewardess/steward supports the senior interior team with cleaning, laundry, table service and general guest care. It's the standard entry point into yachting for anyone with a hospitality background, alongside deckhand.
What the job actually involves
Cabin and guest area cleaning and turnover between charters
Laundry, ironing and linen care
Assisting with table service, drinks and canapés
Restocking supplies and helping prep for guest arrivals
Learning service standards from senior stewardesses
Getting hired
STCW Basic Safety Training and a valid ENG1
No prior yachting experience required, but hotel, restaurant or cabin crew experience is a strong asset
A polished, presentable manner and genuine attention to detail
A basic food & beverage or silver service course helps a CV stand out, though isn't always required to start
Typical pay
Junior stewardesses typically earn €2,300–€3,200 a month, plus tips and free food and accommodation aboard.
