Chief Stewardess

Runs the interior department and sets the standard for guest service on board.

The chief stew (or chief steward) manages the entire interior team and experience: service standards, housekeeping, laundry, provisioning, guest preferences, event planning and interior budgets. It's a demanding management role that blends hospitality skill with genuine leadership.

Chief stewardess pay varies enormously with yacht size and programme — broadly from around €4,500 up to €8,000+ a month on the largest yachts — plus tips, which can be substantial on charter yachts.

Junior/2nd Stewardess → Senior Stewardess → Chief Stewardess → Purser (on larger yachts).
