SuperyachtCrewGuide.com started in 2012 as a simple reference site for people trying to work out how to get their first job on a superyacht — what qualifications you actually need, what the different crew roles involve day to day, and where to look for work. That's still the job this site does.

That's the ENG1 doctor list from the original 2012 site — the actual page a lot of crew used to find their doctor before a first season. One of the names on it, Dr J L Yates in Brisbane, saw a huge number of crew through their ENG1 over the years for anyone doing theirs in Australia. He passed away around the start of the pandemic. If you're one of the crew who went through him, you'll know he was genuinely one of the good ones — he's missed.
