Superyacht Crew Guide helping to get you a Superyacht Job

What is STCW95?

About STCW95

You will need a few courses to start but the most important course to complete will be the STCW95. The STCW95 is an internationally recognized legislation which was implemented in 1995 following repeated marine accidents, many had occurred on private yachts. A guide for superyacht crew explains that the STCW means Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping it is there to set a minimum safety guideline that all registered yachts and ships must follow. The STCW95 Basic Safety Training is a 5 to 7 day course (depending on where you complete it) which is put together to help you understand and encourage safety in the work place whilst onboard the superyacht.
